INDENTURE between William Jayne & Thomas Helme - 2 July 1681


This Indenture made tho second day of July anno Dom: 1681 Between William Jayne of Brookhaven on Long Island in ye East Ryding of New Yorke of the one parte & Thomas Helme of ye Same Town of the other parte Witnesseth that the said William Jayne for & in Consideration of full satisfaction in hand already received before the ensealing & Delivery of those presents from the Said Thomas Helme whereof the said William Jayne doth acknowledg the receits and thereof doth clearly acquit & discharge the sd Thomas Helme his haires & assigsn forever By those presents doth give grante bargaine alien sell Confirme unto the sd Thomas Helme his haires & Assignes for ever all his right title & Interest in the alotment which ye sd Willm Jayne bought of Richd Floyd being formerly the alotment of old John Thomas with all and Singular the profits privileges & enlargements of land thereunto belonging together with the deeds evidences & records concerning the before bargained promises To Have & to Hold the said land and every parte and parcell thereof with the appuntences to ye use and behoofe of the said Thomas Helme his Heires & Assignes for ever according to the true intent & purpose of those presents without any let hinderance or molestation from him the Said Willm Jayne or from any by his meanes or procurement In witnesse whereof The Said Willm Jayne hath set to his hand & Seale the day & yeare above mentioned.
