Letter from Wm. H. H. Moore to Jeremiah Moore - January 1835

Dear Father

I was much gratified today with a letter from you and I hope that you will write again soon. The sleighing is very good here to. I had a sleigh ride night before last over to drown Meadow I went with Mr. Helme. Mr. Helme killed his Bull several weeks ago. he killed it Before he escpectd to because fodder is so high. Besides he lost all his turnips by letting them stand in the ground so long. Although he weighed 1004o. Mr. Edwards the man that preaches at Smithtown has lost his wife she died the 16th of January and they expect Mr. Edwards and his Boy at Smithtown to night. Aunt Sarah is going home the first of neset week. Aunt Sarah has mended all my clothes for me.
