TRANSFER between Samuel Phillips & Sarah Helme - 22 February 1785

These May Certify to all whome it may Concern That I Samuel Phillips of Smithtown in the County of Suffolk & province of New york for the Love & good Will I have to my Dafher Sarah Helmes have given And grant unto hir a Negro boy Named Peter bing About twelve years old and that I the Said Samuel Phillips have a legal Rite to Disfpose of the Said Boy in manner above Said and that the Said Sarah Helmes Shall and may from the deat here of Lawfully Peacabely and quiety enjoy the Said boy Against the Clame or Demands of Any Perfons or Perfons Whatsoever in witness named I Have here unto fet my hand and Seal this Twenty Second day of february AD 1785
